Congrats and Thanks! Please keep NYS IRC AD 24 intact! Otherwise, it will be a gerrymandering move that the Judge of the Manhattan Supreme Court struck down, do not waste the 5 million tax payer dollars spent on this historic redistricting initiative!

Dear Sir/Madam, I have submitted Map AL- Queens which the Respected Commissioners have drawn to united Richmond Hill, Ozone Park and South Ozone Park. Great Job! Commendable Work! Please keep this map as the people in our community are thankful that for the first time in history a map has been drawn to keep us together as a community with common interests, issues and solutions. Thank you. Sincerely, Dr. Minewattie Gayadin Ali Ed.D.

This is the bipartisan, best map that was drawn-over decades of diluting, slicing and dicing! Please implement Map "AL"/new AD 24

This map would keep Madison County whole and connect it with parts of Onondaga and Oneida Counties, which represent communities of interest. It would also secure the whole of the assembly district inside the existing 22nd Congressional District. The population deviation of this district would be 0.03%.

This map better represents the community of interest that makes up the 44th district. I am respectfully asking the Commission to restore Green-Wood Cemetery along 20th Street to be the Western border of the 44th AD, not the Prospect Expressway as in the draft plan, and Green-Wood Cemetery along McDonald Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway out to 39th Street as the Northern boundary between the 44th and 51st ADs. This is a shift of only a few blocks but makes complete sense geographically. Without this change the portions of Kensington and Windsor Terrace cut out of the 44th AD will be a small afterthought in the 51st AD divided from that district by the hundreds of acres of Green-Wood Cemetery.

Previously, we were sliced and diced into 7, then chopped to 4 different Assembly districts, as per attached map, making it difficult for our communities to coalesce around a representative focused on our priorities or receive services responsive to our medical, educational, vocational, economic, ethnic, religious, historical, racial, cultural, language, customs, dietary and/or other needs, as the last COVID-19 pandemic, during which we had the highest infection rates, painfully demonstrated: https://www.qchron.com/editions/queenswide/covid-rates-soaring-in-south-queens/article_ce446f19-f242-5095-a7a1-5b3a321eba21.html

Don’t divide Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, and Kensington. We are one community connected by schools, houses of worship, mass transit and parks. Keep the neighborhoods of the 44th Assembly District intact as they currently exist and have for over 30 years.

The map I uploaded illustrates how southern Brooklyn could be better drawn. While it is not that much different than the 2022 district maps, it makes tweaks to make neighborhoods and communities of interest less divided. Moreover, compared to the IRC's 2023 first draft, neighborhoods such as Bay Ridge are not needlessly divided into four different assembly districts. I also emailed testimony regarding Bay Ridge. I hope the map and my testimony is helpful. Thanks for taking the time to consider it. Chris McCreight

• NYIRC Proposed 107th AD violates the goal of compactness, stretching from the Dutchess County border north to the Washington County border and from the Massachusetts border west to the Delaware County border. This is a large and sprawling district that includes urban and suburban areas with very rural areas. • We fear that separating Ancram and Gallatin from the rest of Columbia County will result in those two small towns not being properly represented. We’ve experienced this before when the small towns of Stockport and Stuyvesant were included in the old 102nd AD. These two towns should be kept together with the other Columbia County towns. • With the possible exception of its Northwestern region, most of Columbia County has a stronger connection to the mid-Hudson Valley than the Capital District. Subsequently, Columbia County should be kept whole and paired with Northern Dutchess County. Northern and Southern Duchess County are very different and should be separated.
